Despite its Puritanical roots, Boston can sometimes show its dirty side, if you know where to look for it. While some may instantly think—“oh well, I already know where to go for a good lap dance”—get your mind out of the gutter, we didn’t mean that dirty. For those looking for some eccentric, slightly slutty, filthy-mouthed fun, take a date (or even a group of friends) to the AMC Loews Harvard Square in Cambridge for the Full Body Cast production of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Whether you’re already a fan of the movie or never seen it before in your life, all first timers who attend the show are labeled “virgins” as this is not your normal night of theater. Every Saturday at midnight a live cast performs the movie as it is played on the big screen. Audience participation is brought to a whole new level, as attendees are encouraged to dress in costume, yell, and throw props throughout the production. Skits always precede the movie, with the entire evening lasting until between 2:30 and 3:30 in the morning. Special shows are given during Halloween, with a longer pre-show, treats for the audience, and an after party with the VERY hands-on cast (if you catch my drift). If you’re looking for a great place to take friends who are visiting from out of town, or even the regular gang you hang out with, get ready for an evening that will be talked about long afterwards. Make sure you dress your “sluttiest”, bring your camera, and forget about being shy! If you normally talk during movies, finally there is a place for you! Tickets are $9.25 and shows are every Saturday at midnight. The AMC Loews Harvard Square Theater can be found at 10 Church St., Harvard Square, in Cambridge. (617) 864-4580
