This is a gorgeous place to take a walk, weather permitting. The Friendship is docked here, and there are always gulls eating fish. There are a couple of swans that live in the neighborhood. A popular place for dog walkers.

Located on Essex Street, this public library in housed in a beautiful brick building. You can sit and read books or magazines, and the children's room is filled with toys for little ones. You do not need a library card to hang out here.

These two streets are parallel to each other, and sport gorgeous homes that are all at least one hundred years old. The architecture on these streets have won many awards. Great place to take a walk or a leaisurely drive.

A lovely red brick sidewalk and charming Salem shops, historical houses, and a gorgeous ocean view await you as you stroll down this street. very child friendly area.

MIT has a beautiful, funky campus with unique art and architecture. Free tours are given weekdays at 10am and 2pm. Located at 77 Massachusetts Ave.

Located right off Union Street, this is a sad and sobering memorial. Part of the Freedom trail.

Located in the Back Bay, there are a whole bunch of very funky statues here. Fun to touch, see and think about.

Located in Charlestown, this monument is what's left of the Battle of Bunker Hill. Climb the 294 steps, but don't forget to hydrate!

Located at 66 Phillips Street, this house was owned by a former fugitive slave, and was a major stop on the Undergrand Railroad.

This is located across the street from the State House. He led the 54th Mass. regiment in the Civil War. This is famous as it was the first all-black regiment.

This is where Crispus Attucks is buried. He was the first man down in the Boston Massacre.

Located in Cambridge, this is my favorite place in all of the Boston area to walk around. It is the San Fransisco of the East Coast. Musicians, poets, actors- this is where the creative congregagte. great little shops too.
