This is a nice place to take a walk. It's 1/4 of a mile all the way around, so it's fairly compact. there is a gazebo located in the middle, which is popular for weddings. Lots of free events take place on 'The Commons.'

Derby Wharf

This is a gorgeous place to take a walk, weather permitting. The Friendship is docked here, and there are always gulls eating fish. There are a couple of swans that live in the neighborhood. A popular place for dog walkers.

This is a ship permanently docked on Derby Wharf. It is a recreation of a trade ship from the 1700's. The rooms are kitted out like they would have been then. Admission is 5$. Very child friendly.

Boston Duck Tours

This is a well known sightseeing extravaganza in Boston. The tour is one and one half hour long, and takes you by land and by sea in amphibious vehicles painted to look like giant ducks. Not to be missed. Very child friendly.
